Who we are: Cameron Talamantes, an individual doing business as StormRoute, Austin, Texas ("StormRoute," "we," "us")
Contact: [email protected]

1. The short version

StormRoute is a business-to-business service. We collect the minimum needed to send your daily storm brief: who you are, where to email it, and which areas you want watched. We don't sell data, we don't run ad tracking, and we don't collect information about homeowners or properties.

2. What we collect

What Example Why
Business contact info Company name, contact name, business email To deliver briefs and send account notices
Service configuration The cities, ZIP codes or area your crews work To decide which storms and streets are relevant to you
Phone and text messages Your phone number and the texts or calls we exchange Setup, support and account notices
Account records Subscription tier, signup date, status To run your subscription
Billing info Handled by Stripe or Wave — we do not store card numbers To bill you
Basic delivery/usage records Whether a brief sent or failed, dashboard updates Reliability and support

What we do NOT collect: homeowner or property-owner personal information; property addresses of prospective customers; consumer credit, insurance, or claims data; biometric, health, precise device-location, or other sensitive data; behavioral advertising profiles.

3. Where our storm data comes from

Storm data comes from NOAA radar and National Weather Service storm reports, public U.S. government sources; street and building outlines come from OpenStreetMap. It is not personal data and is not obtained from you. Street or location names in a brief come from those public sources, not from any private database.

This website stores your chosen market (and your member code, if you enter one) in your own browser only. It sets no tracking cookies and runs no ads.

4. How we use it

Only to: deliver your briefs; operate, support, and improve the Service; bill you; send service notices; and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Who we share it with

Only service providers who help us run the Service, and only as needed:

Provider Role Status
Google (Gmail / Workspace) Sending briefs in use
Notion Live brief dashboard pages in use
Stripe Online card payments — they hold payment data, not us in use
Wave Invoicing — they hold payment data, not us in use
Cloudflare Hosts the website and app in use
Anthropic (Claude) Generating brief copy in use

We do not sell your data.

We may also disclose information if legally required, or during a business sale — in which case this policy travels with the data.

5.1 How your briefs are generated — and what that means for your data

Street lists are ranked by our own software (see Terms of Service §2.1). Where a brief includes written text drafted by our AI provider, only your service-area names and the public storm data that match them are sent to that provider. We do not send your billing information, and we do not hold or send any homeowner or property-owner personal information — we don't collect any.

6. How long we keep it

Account and configuration data: for the life of your account and 12 months after cancellation, then deleted. Briefs and delivery logs: 24 months. Billing records: as tax law requires (generally 7 years).

7. Security

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls on customer configuration and technical isolation between customer accounts so one customer's briefs and service areas are never delivered to another.

Honest statement: no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we don't claim otherwise.

8. Your choices

Email [email protected] to access, correct, or delete your information, change your service areas, or cancel. We respond within 30 days.

The information we hold about you is business information — company name, business email, service areas and thresholds — not consumer personal data, and most state privacy laws are aimed at individuals acting for personal or household purposes. We are also a small business under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act's small-business exemption. Regardless of whether a formal statutory right applies, we will honor any access, correction, or deletion request you send us, within 30 days. We would rather do it than argue about whether we have to.

9. No children

The Service is for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes

We'll post updates here and email you about material ones.
